About:

Andrew is a person in long term recovery from Douglasville, Georgia. He began his recovery journey in inpatient treatment, Andrew has first-hand experience of the benefit that therapy contributes to sustained recovery. During his recovery journey Andrew found his purpose which is helping peers find and sustain long term recovery from substance use disorder. In 2021 he began working in the recovery field by managing a sober living ministry in the Augusta area. Andrew joined Alana in 2022, as a Client Advocate. Andrew is experienced in group facilitation and individual peer support. He sets an example for his coworkers and peers in recovery through servant leadership. Andrew is currently enrolled at Georgia Highlands College majoring in business administration; he expects to graduate in fall of 2023! Andrew aspires to continue his recovery journey while working in recovery field with a focus on business development.

Andrew enjoys traveling, snowboarding, riding dirt bikes, and playing any kind of sports. Andrew is active in the recovery community and loves attending church. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Andrew has 2 beautiful dogs, Stella, a Spingador, and Daisy, a Brittney Doodle.
